Our Story
A letter written after dark
VELMIRAAE began with an image: a letter written late at night and left between the pages of an old book. Deep and careful, a little dramatic — the romance is in the details and in the attitude, never in costume.
We make dark romantic clothes for women who dress for themselves: for a late dinner, a long walk home, a Tuesday that deserves more than it gets.
What we make
Our collection is written in four chapters: romantic blouses, long skirts, tailored vests and quiet dresses. Each piece is its own design, not a colour variation of another. The palette stays in the night — ink black, oxblood, plum, bottle green, moss, smoke and tobacco — with one or two pale pages for contrast.
We keep silhouettes long and calm and let construction carry the drama: a bib of pintucks, a collar folded like an envelope, lace that stops at the shoulders, tulle that turns sheer only below the knee.
